When we don't get what we want, we can become angry and frustrated. Throughout everyone's lifetime, we face challenges and tribulations. A lot of the difficulties we encounter stem from our own ideas, which create things that we envision for ourselves. When these visions don't go as planned, especially when we have our hearts set on them coming to fruition, we arrive at a crossroads where we must face the reality of the world around us. To accomplish things, we start acting on our goal, building our dreams, and envisioning how we want things to materialize for us, but they don't always happen exactly as we had planned.

It's almost as if the universe is testing us, presenting obstacles to see how committed we truly are to our chosen path. These moments of frustration and anger are natural, human reactions. It's okay to feel disappointed when things don't align with our expectations. The key, however, is not to let these feelings consume us or derail us from our larger purpose.

You can say life and the universe have other plans for us. Or you can see yourself as a failure, kick yourself, and blame yourself. Others might find a way to blame other people or curse inanimate objects as the reason for their failure. Or you can come up with a belief system that you call the truth. The truth of the matter is that we must accept what lies before us to a certain extent. You do not have to accept failure just because some things did not fall into place. We do have to accept that certain events have transpired. But we do not have to focus on them, ponder them, or relive them any more than necessary, because there comes a time when the attention that you give to unpleasant events in your life can start working against your psyche. The fact that you relive it in your thoughts can bring back the vibrations that you carry with you. That vibration is a lower-level vibration that can dampen your enthusiasm while on your quest for bigger things.

Dwelling on the negative aspects of past events can create a self-fulfilling prophecy of sorts. If you constantly replay failures and disappointments in your mind, you're essentially reinforcing the negative emotions and beliefs associated with those experiences. This can lead to a cycle of self-doubt and negativity that hinders your progress and diminishes your enthusiasm for pursuing your goals. It's like constantly replaying a sad song; eventually, you'll start to feel sad, even if you weren't initially.

Those who can learn from the past and then move on and refocus on an adjusted, elevated, or augmented strategy to move forward and maintain an enthusiastic push for greater things are the individuals who will eventually find a level of success and contentment. Their persistence and their positive attitude will lend themselves to an adjusted plan, or often, a revised plan of the original goal, or even an entirely new goal.

The ability to learn from our experiences, adapt to changing circumstances, and maintain a positive outlook is crucial for achieving success and finding contentment. It's about recognizing that setbacks are inevitable, but they don't have to define us. Instead, we can use them as opportunities for growth and learning, adjusting our strategies and approaches as needed to move forward with renewed enthusiasm.

They could perhaps learn that their effort was not a waste and leverage the effort, knowledge, and wisdom that they had gained for a new goal. For example, studying to make a career as a movie producer might not come to fruition, but the knowledge gained could be leveraged toward another career. The producer must have organizational skills, a knowledge of storytelling, and a deep understanding of market value. These skills are invaluable in several other professions, many of which could be much more stable than those of a movie producer. They could offer even a longer career, which could surpass the earnings of a short career as a producer.

It's about recognizing the transferable skills and knowledge that we acquire along the way, leading to unexpected opportunities and successes. The key is to remain open-minded, adaptable, and willing to explore new possibilities. Another way to do this is to be aware that you might be directed to your true goal.

Knowing that the events you might consider failures, dead ends, or frustrating experiences are all possibly the guard rails or guides to keep you on track for your intended journey. So, go through those periods of self-consolation and maybe even some pity, but ponder your goal in life and rest assured that better things are ahead for you so that you can reinvent yourself, adjust your strategy, or get the perspective you need to enthusiastically continue your quest for better things. Life is all about our quest and the journey, and yes, even the trials and tribulations. But we are alive, and we are on a journey, and that is a blessed state to be in. Give thanks that you are always in the race, the game, the quest, or the journey.

Consider these challenges as course corrections, guiding you towards a destination that is ultimately more aligned with your soul's mission. Even those moments of self-doubt and pity are part of the process. Allow yourself to feel those emotions, but don't let them paralyze you. Instead, use them as fuel to reignite your passion and determination.

Life is a continuous journey of self-discovery, growth, and reinvention. Embrace the challenges, learn from the setbacks, and never lose sight of your larger purpose. Remember that you are always on a journey, and that is a blessing. Give thanks for the opportunity to participate in this grand adventure, to learn, to grow, and to evolve into the best version of yourself.
